Med Spa Website Cost in 2026: What You Pay For, What Drives the Price and What a Site Must Do Before It Books Consults

Med spa website cost: a smiling med spa owner in a soft sage blouse reviews a website plan on a laptop at a cream travertine reception desk with white orchids, no patients or treatments shown.

A med spa website costs $5,100 to $14,500 with a US freelancer or $11,600 to $34,800 with an agency in 2026, according to one vendor estimator, before a platform fee such as Squarespace's $19 to $99 a month billed annually. [1] [2] The price moves with booking, galleries, memberships and financing. The site is finished only when its booking path, tracking tags and accessibility hold up.

Key Takeaways
  • One vendor estimator, updated July 2026 and based on what it calls 600+ project quotes and rate benchmarks, puts a US med spa website at $5,100 to $14,500 with a freelancer and $11,600 to $34,800 with an agency. [1] It is a vendor estimate, not market data.
  • The spread is mostly hours. At the federal median wage for web developers and digital designers, $47.85 an hour in May 2025, the $9,800 standard build in that estimate equals about 205 hours of work. [1] [3]
  • Software is a separate, recurring line. A Squarespace Core plan at $29 a month and an Acuity Scheduling Standard plan at $27 a month, both billed annually, come to $672 in the first year before any design work. [2] [4]
  • The work cheap quotes leave out is the work that protects you: a tracking plan for booking pages, which matters most if HIPAA applies to your practice, and accessibility, which the Department of Justice says the ADA covers on the web. [5] [7]
  • Most Ambrose clients invest roughly $1,200 to $4,000 a month in marketing, often across more than one channel. Ambrose web projects are scoped and quoted in writing after a free consultation. See how our med spa marketing work fits together, or book a free consultation.

Most pages that rank for this question answer a different one. The two read for this guide were a med spa startup budget guide, which folds the website into a launch line with branding and signage, and a vendor cost estimator. [1] Neither page, as read for this guide, discusses tracking tags on booking pages or website accessibility. This guide covers the cost and that missing work, with every figure dated and sourced, so you can read a proposal and see what it leaves out.

It is written for cost and scope. For what a med spa site should look like and how it should convert, read our med spa website design guide. For the monthly marketing budget around the site, read what med spa marketing costs in 2026.

What a Med Spa Website Cost Actually Pays For: Platform, Labor, Content, Booking and Upkeep

A med spa website cost is five separate purchases sold as one number: the platform subscription, the design and build labor, the content and photography, the booking integration and the care after launch. [1] Only the platform and booking software publish their prices. The labor is hours, and hours are where two proposals for the same practice drift thousands of dollars apart.

The table splits a quote into those five lines, with the published price or the dated reference point for each. Use it to check whether a proposal priced all five or left some for later.

Cost lineWhat it coversHow it is billedReference point, read 2026-10-20
PlatformHosting, templates, editor, security certificateMonthly or annual subscriptionSquarespace $19 to $99 a month billed annually, $25 to $139 billed monthly [2]
Design and build laborLayout, page builds, integrations, testingFixed project fee or hourlyMedian wage $47.85 an hour for web developers and digital designers, May 2025 [3]
Content and photographyTreatment copy, provider bios, photo shoot, image editingUsually inside the project fee, or a separate lineGallery and photography quoted at $1,000 to $2,500 in one vendor estimate [1]
Booking integrationScheduling tool, intake forms, calendars per providerMonthly subscription plus setup laborAcuity Scheduling $16 to $55 a month billed annually [4]
Care after launchUpdates, software fees, fixes, backupsMonthly retainer or hourly$60 to $300 a month for hosting, tools and maintenance in one vendor estimate [1]

Read the labor line carefully. The Bureau of Labor Statistics figure is a wage: what a salaried web developer or digital designer earns, not what a business charges you. [3] A freelancer or agency also pays for software, insurance and hours that are never billed, so a quoted rate sits above the wage. The wage is still useful. It turns a quote into hours you can question.

Here is that conversion with the vendor estimate. At $47.85 an hour, a $5,100 starter build equals about 107 hours, the $9,800 standard build about 205 hours, and the $14,500 premium build about 303 hours. [1] [3] Ask any bidder how many hours the quote assumes and where they go. A proposal that cannot answer is pricing a feeling.

The platform line is the easiest to verify and the easiest to underbudget. Squarespace bills its four website plans at $19, $29, $49 and $99 a month on an annual plan, and at $25, $39, $65 and $139 when paid monthly. [2] On the Core plan, paying annually costs $348 a year against $468 paid monthly. If the website design and development proposal you are reading does not name the plan, ask which one the build needs.

Subscriptions also outlast the build, so price them over the life of the site. A Squarespace Core plan at $29 a month and an Acuity Scheduling Standard plan at $27 a month, both billed annually, cost $672 a year, or $2,016 over three years. [2] [4] If your practice needs the business associate agreement that Acuity lists on its Premium plan at $55 a month billed annually, the same pairing costs $1,008 a year, or $3,024 over three years. [4] Those totals belong in the proposal, not in a surprise invoice.

Med Spa Website Price Ranges in 2026, and Why They Spread So Far

One vendor estimator, updated July 2026, puts a US med spa website at $5,100 for a starter build, $9,800 for a standard build and $14,500 for a premium build with a freelancer, and $11,600 to $34,800 with an agency. [1] The agency figures run about 2.3 times the freelancer figures, the estimator says. The spread follows scope and hours.

Build tier, USWhat the estimator says it includesFreelancer figureEquivalent hours at the $47.85 median wage
StarterTemplate design, core pages, the essentials$5,100 [1]About 107 [3]
StandardCustom design plus the must-have features it lists, such as online booking, galleries, memberships and financing$9,800 [1]About 205 [3]
PremiumFull custom build, integrations and content$14,500 [1]About 303 [3]
Agency rangeSame scope with project management, QA and accountability, per the estimator$11,600 to $34,800 [1]About 242 to 727 [3]

Two details on that page matter. First, the estimator applies a 1.45 multiplier for the United States to its baseline, so the US figures are computed from a baseline, not prices observed in US projects. [1] Second, its own FAQ quotes the low end as $5,050 while its table says $5,100. This guide quotes the table. Small disagreements like that are a reason to treat any single estimate as a yardstick.

The widest gap is not freelancer against agency. It is what each quote assumes the site must do. A starter build is template pages. A premium build adds integrations and content, and integrations are where med spa sites differ most from other small business sites: booking, memberships, financing and galleries each connect to another system. [1]

To be clear about scopeThese figures come from a vendor that sells estimating tools, and it describes its basis as 600+ project quotes and rate benchmarks without publishing the data. [1] No public dataset read for this guide reports what US med spas actually paid for websites. Use the range to sanity-check a quote, never to set one.

The same page lists a median US freelancer build of $6,750, below its own $9,800 standard tier, and says that for most single-location med spa builds under $6,750 a vetted freelancer is the better value. [1] That is the vendor's view, not a finding. It does match the arithmetic above: a smaller site needs fewer hours, and fewer hours need less coordination.

The Features That Change a Med Spa Website Quote

Five features change a med spa website quote because each adds pages, an integration or a consent process: the number of treatment pages, a before-and-after gallery, online booking across several providers, memberships or packages, and financing. Treat them as the scope questions to settle before you collect bids. The estimator read for this guide names booking, memberships and financing as the features that each add integration. [1]

The table gives the reason each feature adds scope and the question that exposes whether a quote includes it.

FeatureWhy it adds scopeQuestion to ask every bidder
Treatment pagesEach treatment needs its own page of copy, photos and a booking link, and every claim on it needs reviewHow many treatment pages are included, and who writes the copy?
Before-and-after galleryPatient photos need written consent, consistent editing and alt text for every imageWho collects consent, and who writes the alt text?
Online booking, several providersEach provider needs a calendar; Acuity, for example, allows 1, 6 or 36 calendars by plan [4]Which booking plan does my provider count require, and is it in the quote?
Memberships and packagesSelling memberships adds checkout, terms and platform fees; Squarespace lists a 7% fee on Basic falling to 0% on Advanced [2]Which plan and fee apply to my membership sales?
FinancingA lender's link or widget has to be placed and tested on treatment and checkout pagesIs the financing link tested on a phone before launch?
Multiple locations or languagesEach location or language is another set of pages to build, review and keep currentAre location pages written separately, or one page with the address swapped?

Booking deserves the closest look because it is both a software cost and a privacy decision. Acuity Scheduling, a Squarespace company, lists its plans at $16, $27 and $55 a month billed annually, and its Premium plan card lists a signed business associate agreement for HIPAA compliance. [4] If your practice needs that agreement, the booking line in your quote should name a plan that offers one.

Pick the profile closest to your practice. The guide lists the pages, booking setup, tracking plan and accessibility checks that profile tends to add, and the questions to ask every bidder. It has no price output on purpose: the scope decides the price, not the other way around.

The Work a Med Spa Website Needs That Cheap Quotes Leave Out: Tracking, Accessibility and the Booking Path

Three jobs are easy to leave out of a low med spa website quote: a written plan for which tracking tags run on booking and treatment pages, an accessibility check, and a tested path from treatment page to booked consult. None of them changes how the site looks. All three decide whether the site is safe to advertise and whether it books.

Tracking tags on booking and treatment pages

Ad pixels and analytics tags send visitor data to the vendor that wrote them. For a practice that HIPAA covers, the Department of Health and Human Services is direct about the limit: "Regulated entities are not permitted to use tracking technologies in a manner that would result in impermissible disclosures of PHI to tracking technology vendors or any other violations of the HIPAA Rules." [5] Its example is an appointment made through a covered clinic's website that runs third-party tracking, where the bulletin says the tracking vendor is a business associate and a BAA is required. [5]

Part of that bulletin no longer stands, and a careful proposal says so. On June 20, 2024, the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas, in American Hospital Association v. Becerra, vacated the guidance to the extent it said HIPAA obligations are triggered when a tracking technology connects an IP address with a visit to an unauthenticated public webpage about specific health conditions or providers. [5] The rest of the bulletin remains on the HHS site, last reviewed June 26, 2024.

Whether any of this applies starts with one question. HHS counts clinics and doctors as covered health care providers only if they transmit health information electronically in connection with a transaction for which HHS has adopted a standard. [6] Many cash-pay med spas need their attorney to answer that. Either way, a written tag inventory costs little and tells you exactly what each page sends.

A tag inventory is a one-page list. It is still the line most med spa website quotes leave out.

Accessibility under the ADA

The Department of Justice states its position plainly: "the ADA's requirements apply to all the goods, services, privileges, or activities offered by public accommodations, including those offered on the web." [7] Its 2022 guidance names the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as helpful technical guidance and lists common barriers, including poor color contrast and images without text alternatives. [7] Soft blush text on a cream background is exactly the kind of choice a med spa site makes for brand reasons and an accessibility check catches.

A booking path someone has tested

The last omission is the simplest. Someone should book a test consult from every treatment page, on a phone, before launch, and confirm the booking lands in the right provider's calendar. Our med spa consultation process guide covers what should happen after the booking arrives. A quote that lists none of these three jobs is not cheaper. It has moved the work to you.

Template, Freelancer or Agency: Which Fits a Single-Location or Multi-Provider Med Spa

A single-location, single-provider med spa with simple booking can launch on a template plan and its own hours, or hire a freelancer in the $5,100 to $14,500 range one estimator reports. A multi-provider or multi-location practice with memberships needs someone accountable for integrations and testing, which is the scope where agency quotes of $11,600 to $34,800 sit. [1]

Two printed website proposals lie side by side on a linen table with a brass pen, in warm daylight with a white orchid nearby.

AgencyA team with project management and QA$11,600 to $34,800 in the same estimate [1]Several providers or locations, memberships, paid adsPaying for process the project does not need

The right route depends less on budget than on how many systems the site has to connect. A practice with one calendar and no memberships has little to integrate. A practice with five providers, two locations, memberships and financing has a booking system, a payment processor, a lender and an ad account touching the same pages, and someone has to own the testing.

Whichever route you choose, put account ownership in writing. The domain, the platform account, the booking account and the analytics property should sit in the practice's name, with the builder added as a user. That clause costs nothing to include and is expensive to fix after a falling-out.

A single-location med spa can also skip scope it does not need yet. A product store, a second language and location pages can wait for a second phase, and a site built on one tested template can add them later without a rebuild. Paying for them on day one buys pages that no one maintains.

How to Compare Two Med Spa Website Proposals Line by Line

To compare two med spa website proposals, rewrite both into the same five lines: platform, labor, content, booking and care after launch. Then check each against the scope your practice needs, convert the labor into hours, and add the three jobs cheap quotes leave out. The proposal that looks cheaper often priced fewer lines rather than the same work for less.

Split each quote into five lines

Platform, design and build labor, content and photography, booking integration, care after launch. Anything a proposal does not price is a cost you will meet later.

Name the subscriptions

Write down the platform plan and booking plan each proposal assumes, and its monthly and annual price from the vendor's own pricing page.

Convert labor into hours

Divide the labor line by the rate the bidder quotes, or by the $47.85 median wage as a floor, and ask where the hours go. [3]

Check the scope against your profile

Use the scope guide above. Count treatment pages, providers, locations and integrations in each proposal.

Add the missing jobs

Ask each bidder for a tag inventory, an accessibility check and a tested booking path, in writing.

Confirm ownership and exit

The domain and every account in the practice's name, and a written handover if the relationship ends.

Done well, the comparison takes an hour and changes the conversation. A bidder who can explain each line, in hours and subscriptions, is a bidder who scoped your practice. One who cannot is quoting a template.

Take two illustrative proposals for the same single-location practice. Proposal A is $6,000 and prices design, build and a booking link. Proposal B is $9,000 and prices all five lines, names a Core plan and a booking plan, and includes a tag inventory, an accessibility check and a tested booking path. A looks $3,000 cheaper. That $3,000 now has to cover the subscriptions, photography and three protective jobs A left to you, and B is the only proposal that told you what you are buying. These two proposals are examples written for this guide, not real quotes.

Frequently Asked Questions About Med Spa Website Cost

Kali Kirkland, Founder of Ambrose Marketing
Kali KirklandFounder, Ambrose Marketing
Hi. If you are collecting quotes for a med spa website, pick a question and I will give you a straight answer.
Ask a question

How much does a med spa website cost in 2026?

One vendor estimator, Project Cost Estimator, puts a US med spa website at $5,100 to $14,500 with a freelancer and $11,600 to $34,800 with an agency, with a $9,800 standard build, in figures updated July 2026. [1] The platform is a separate line: Squarespace lists its website plans at $19 to $99 a month billed annually. [2] Treat both as reference points, not quotes. The number that matters is the written proposal that lists your pages, your booking setup and your tracking plan line by line.

Is Squarespace good enough for a med spa?

On cost, Squarespace is easy to check because it publishes its prices: $19 a month for Basic up to $99 a month for Advanced, billed annually, with a 2% transaction fee on Basic online store sales that the higher plans set at 0%. [2] Whether its templates suit your brand is a design question, which the Ambrose med spa website design guide covers. For the budget decision, confirm the plan supports your booking tool and any memberships you sell, then price that plan rather than the cheapest one.

Can a med spa use the Meta pixel on its booking page?

Start with whether your med spa is a HIPAA covered entity. HHS lists clinics and doctors as covered health care providers only if they transmit health information electronically in connection with a transaction for which HHS has adopted a standard. [6] If you are covered, the HHS tracking bulletin says regulated entities are not permitted to use tracking technologies in a way that causes impermissible disclosures of PHI to tracking vendors, and it gives an online appointment as an example where the vendor is a business associate and a BAA is required. [5] If a tracking vendor will not sign a BAA, keep its tags off booking and intake pages and ask your attorney.

How long does a med spa website take to build?

Project Cost Estimator lists a typical med spa website timeline of 5 to 12 weeks in 2026, from first brief to launch, and says content delivery and revision rounds, not the build, usually drive the schedule. [1] You shorten it by arriving with treatment copy drafted, provider bios written, photography booked and booking software chosen, so the builder is not waiting on decisions only your practice can make.

What does Ambrose charge for a med spa website?

Ambrose web projects are scoped and quoted in writing after a free consultation, so there is no published website price to quote here. The scope covers the pages, booking integration, tracking plan and accessibility checks your practice needs. Ask every bidder, Ambrose included, for the same thing: a written scope with each line priced, the platform and booking subscriptions listed separately, and the name of whoever owns the domain and accounts after launch.

A Med Spa Website Budget Starts With Scope, Not a Number

No med spa website price is right or wrong on its own. One vendor estimate puts a US build at $5,100 to $34,800 depending on who builds it and what it includes, and the platform and booking subscriptions sit on top. [1] [2] The useful question is what the quote covers.

Write down your providers, locations, treatments and integrations. Ask every bidder to price the same five lines and the same three protective jobs. Then choose the proposal that explains its hours, names its subscriptions and leaves your practice owning every account.
