# Law Firm Marketing That Brings In Qualified Consultations

**Ambrose Marketing** helps law firms and solo attorneys become the obvious, trustworthy choice for the clients they serve best. We build the brand, website, search presence, and content that people review when they are deciding which lawyer to call.

Everything we write for a Florida firm is drafted with the Florida Bar’s advertising rules in mind, because a lawyer’s reputation is the practice.

### Legal Marketing Built for Authority, Trust & Search Visibility

## What our clients are saying…

## Why Law Firms Choose Ambrose Marketing in 2026?

Legal services are crowded. The American Bar Association counted 1,374,720 active lawyers in the United States in 2025, with Florida fourth among the states at 80,976, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics expects lawyer employment to keep growing over the next decade.

At the same time, the path to a lawyer is changing. In Clio’s 2025 Legal Trends research, more than half of consumers said they had used or would consider using AI to answer a legal question, and among those who did, 28% were directed to contact a lawyer. Clear, accurate answers on your own website are what those tools and those clients find.

Winning firms make it easy to understand who they help, what the process looks like, what it may cost, and how to reach a real person quickly. They earn trust through specifics, not slogans.

Lawyer advertising is also tightly regulated. In Florida, websites are covered by the Bar’s advertising rules, claims about past results must be objectively verifiable, words like "best" or "expert" carry real limits, and testimonials need specific safeguards. We plan every page around those rules.

We are a woman-owned team based in Naples, Florida, with an office in Manhattan, and we work with firms in Southwest Florida, New York, and beyond.

## What Prospective Clients Do Before They Call

These patterns, drawn from the ABA, BLS, Clio’s research, and Google’s own guidance, shape how we market a law practice.

### A larger, more competitive profession

The ABA reports 1,374,720 resident active lawyers in 2025, up from 1,355,963 a year earlier. New York has the most at 190,015, and Florida ranks fourth with 80,976 ([ABA](https://www.americanbar.org/news/abanews/aba-news-archives/2025/12/aba-2025-profile-of-the-legal-profession-report/)).

### Steady demand for legal work

BLS counted 863,700 lawyer jobs in 2025, with a median salary of $159,670, and projects 5% growth through 2035, faster than average ([BLS](https://www.bls.gov/ooh/legal/lawyers.htm)).

### AI is becoming a first stop

Clio’s 2025 research found that more than half of consumers have used or would consider using AI to answer a legal question, and 28% of those who did were directed to contact a lawyer ([Clio](https://www.clio.com/about/press/the-science-behind-smarter-law-clios-2025-legal-trends-report-reveals-how-technology-is-rewiring-the-way-lawyers-work/)). Plain, accurate answers on your site help you show up in those moments.

### Maps and listings still decide many calls

Google treats lawyers as individual practitioners who may have their own profiles, with titles such as JD or Esq. ([Google](https://support.google.com/business/answer/3038177)), and it weighs relevance, distance, and prominence in local results ([Google](https://support.google.com/business/answer/7091)).

## Each Practice Area Markets Differently

A personal injury firm and an estate planning practice do not earn clients the same way. Here is how we adapt.

- **Estate planning and elder law**Clients take their time and often involve family members. Explain the process step by step, publish clear fee structures, and offer seminars or guides. In Naples, this audience is large and well informed.
- **Personal injury**The most competitive and most regulated category. Fast response, clear explanations of contingency fees and costs, and strict adherence to the Bar’s rules on past results and solicitation matter more than volume of ads.
- **Family law**Prospective clients are often stressed and cautious. A calm, discreet website, clear explanations of process and timelines, and a private way to make contact build confidence.
- **Business and real estate law**Referrals from CPAs, bankers, and brokers drive most work. Thoughtful articles and a professional presence on LinkedIn support those relationships.
- **Employment and workers’ compensation**Workers and employers both search with urgent, specific questions about deadlines and rights. Clear explanations of filing windows, what to bring to a consultation, and how fees work help them act with confidence.
- **Criminal defense and immigration**Clients need immediate answers, often in more than one language. Clear hours, multilingual pages where you offer them, and responsive intake make the difference.

How we start
## The First Three Months

The Bar prohibits predicting results, and we hold our own reporting to the same standard: a defined plan, careful execution, and figures you can check.

- ### Month one: listening and review
We learn which matters you want more of, then review your website, listings, reviews, intake, and any running ads against the Bar’s rules and your goals.
- ### Month one to two: rebuild the essentials
Attorney biographies, practice area pages, responsible-lawyer and office details, listings, and call tracking set up correctly.
- ### Month two to three: grow visibility
Question-led articles, referral source updates, and, where useful, paid search with landing pages prepared for Bar filing.
- ### End of month three: review together
Consultation requests, signed matters where you share them, reviews, and rankings, explained plainly, with the next quarter’s priorities.

Advertising that respects the Bar
## Florida Bar Advertising Rules We Build In

Florida regulates lawyer advertising more closely than most states. These are the rules that shape our work for Florida firms. Other states follow versions of the ABA Model Rules, and we check them before launch. This is general information, not legal advice.

### Websites are advertising

The Bar’s rules apply to websites and social networking, and the official comment says websites are treated the same as other advertising media. Website content is exempt from filing for review but must still comply ([Rules 4-7.11 and 4-7.20](https://www-media.floridabar.org/uploads/2026/10/2027_04-OCT-Chapter-4-RRTFB.pdf)).

### Name the lawyer and the office

Every advertisement must include the name of at least one lawyer or the firm responsible for its content and the city, town, or county of at least one bona fide office ([Rule 4-7.12](https://www-media.floridabar.org/uploads/2026/10/2027_04-OCT-Chapter-4-RRTFB.pdf)).

### Results must be verifiable

Predictions or guarantees of results are prohibited, references to past results must be objectively verifiable, and the comment warns that atypical results are likely misleading ([Rule 4-7.13](https://www-media.floridabar.org/uploads/2026/10/2027_04-OCT-Chapter-4-RRTFB.pdf)).

### No unverifiable superlatives

Characterizations of skill, experience, or reputation that cannot be objectively verified are prohibited, and the comment names "the best," "second to none," and "the finest" as examples ([Rule 4-7.13](https://www-media.floridabar.org/uploads/2026/10/2027_04-OCT-Chapter-4-RRTFB.pdf)).

### Careful use of certification and expertise

"Board certified," "specialist," and "expert" are limited to lawyers certified through The Florida Bar or an accredited program, or whose expertise is objectively verifiable, and a firm itself cannot be certified ([Rule 4-7.14](https://www-media.floridabar.org/uploads/2026/10/2027_04-OCT-Chapter-4-RRTFB.pdf)).

### Respect solicitation limits

In-person, phone, and real-time video solicitation for pecuniary gain is prohibited, written solicitations about a personal injury or wrongful death cannot be sent within 30 days of the incident, and written solicitations must be marked as advertisements ([Rule 4-7.18](https://www-media.floridabar.org/uploads/2026/10/2027_04-OCT-Chapter-4-RRTFB.pdf)).

### Testimonials and filing

Testimonials must reflect the client’s actual experience, cannot be written by the lawyer or paid for, and need a disclaimer that results may differ. Most non-website ads must be filed with the Bar at least 20 days before they run, at $250 per timely filing ([Rules 4-7.13 and 4-7.19](https://www-media.floridabar.org/uploads/2026/10/2027_04-OCT-Chapter-4-RRTFB.pdf); [Florida Bar](https://www.floridabar.org/ethics/etad/)).

Questions attorneys ask
## Law Firm Marketing Questions, Answered Plainly

Does the Florida Bar regulate law firm websites?

Yes. The Bar’s advertising rules apply to websites and social media, and websites are treated the same as other advertising media. Website content does not have to be filed for review, but it must comply with the content rules ([Florida Bar](https://www-media.floridabar.org/uploads/2026/10/2027_04-OCT-Chapter-4-RRTFB.pdf)).

Can we list case results or settlements?

Only with care. Past results must be objectively verifiable, a result that is not typical of similar matters is likely misleading, and the affected client’s informed consent is needed under the confidentiality rules ([Rule 4-7.13 and comment](https://www-media.floridabar.org/uploads/2026/10/2027_04-OCT-Chapter-4-RRTFB.pdf)).

Can we use client testimonials?

Yes, within limits. Florida allows testimonials that reflect the client’s actual experience and what clients generally experience, that the lawyer did not write, that were not paid for, and that include a disclaimer that results may differ. Comments on courtesy, promptness, and professionalism are generally safer than outcome claims ([Rule 4-7.13](https://www-media.floridabar.org/uploads/2026/10/2027_04-OCT-Chapter-4-RRTFB.pdf)).

Can we call ourselves experts or specialists?

Only if it is true in the way the Bar defines it: certification through The Florida Bar or an accredited program, or objectively verifiable expertise. If not every lawyer in the firm qualifies, a disclaimer is needed, and the firm itself cannot be certified ([Rule 4-7.14](https://www-media.floridabar.org/uploads/2026/10/2027_04-OCT-Chapter-4-RRTFB.pdf)).

Can we advertise flat fees?

Yes, if the ad discloses all fees and costs involved, and the advertised fee must be honored for at least 90 days ([Rule 4-7.14](https://www-media.floridabar.org/uploads/2026/10/2027_04-OCT-Chapter-4-RRTFB.pdf)). Clear pricing for routine matters such as wills or uncontested filings can be a real advantage when it is stated completely.

Can we mention awards and rankings?

Only bona fide ones. Florida treats memberships and recognitions as potentially misleading unless they are legitimate, and the comment allows awards that state the actual award name and the date it was given ([Rule 4-7.14 and comment](https://www-media.floridabar.org/uploads/2026/10/2027_04-OCT-Chapter-4-RRTFB.pdf)).

Do our Google ads need to be filed with the Bar?

Most advertisements other than website content must be filed at least 20 days before first use, and the Bar evaluates them within 15 days. The filing fee is $250 per ad filed on time ([Rule 4-7.19](https://www-media.floridabar.org/uploads/2026/10/2027_04-OCT-Chapter-4-RRTFB.pdf); [Florida Bar](https://www.floridabar.org/ethics/etad/)). We build that lead time into every campaign.

Should each attorney have a Google Business Profile?

Often, yes. Google treats lawyers as individual practitioners who can have their own profiles when they are public-facing and reachable at the verified location, and profiles may include titles such as JD or Esq. A practitioner should not create separate profiles for each specialty ([Google](https://support.google.com/business/answer/3038177)).

How is AI search changing how clients find lawyers?

Clio’s 2025 research found that more than half of consumers have used or would consider using AI for a legal question, and 28% of those users were directed to contact a lawyer ([Clio](https://www.clio.com/about/press/the-science-behind-smarter-law-clios-2025-legal-trends-report-reveals-how-technology-is-rewiring-the-way-lawyers-work/)). Clear, accurate answers on your site make it more likely that your firm is the one they find next.

Do you work with firms outside Florida?

Yes. Our team works from Naples and Manhattan and supports firms in New York and other states. For each state we review its version of the lawyer advertising rules, which are generally based on ABA Model Rules 7.1 and 7.2 ([Rule 7.1](https://www.americanbar.org/groups/professional_responsibility/publications/model_rules_of_professional_conduct/rule_7_1_communication_concerning_a_lawyer_s_services/); [Rule 7.2](https://www.americanbar.org/groups/professional_responsibility/publications/model_rules_of_professional_conduct/rule_7_2_advertising/)).
